Tony Bacigalupo – @Tonybgoode
TonyTony Bacigalupo is the Mayor of New Work City , a community coworking space in Manhattan. Tony is a project manager and an active community organizer, focusing on helping new entrepreneurs get started. Tony is also co-author of the book I’m Outta Here , which is an exploration into the coworking movement.

Mark Davis – @Markpeterdavis
MarkMark is an active member of the venture community. In addition to his role at DFJ Gotham Ventures, Mark is the author of Get Venture, a blog that addresses industry topics and offers guidance to entrepreneurs on how to raise venture capital. Mark organizes events for entrepreneurs through the Columbia Venture Community, a group Mark founded to serve Columbia University’s student and alumni entrepreneurs. He is also helping the Duke University create an entrepreneurship community by serving on Duke’s Global Entrepreneurship Network taskforce.

Joe DiPasquale - @Joedipasquale
joeJoe DiPasquale is the founder and CEO of Regroup.com, a leading group platform for schools, companies, and individuals. Regroup.com started as CollegeWikis in 2007, expanding to over 50K students and 200 schools. In 2008, Regroup raised a $2M seed round led by HighBAR Ventures, the early stage venture capital firm founded by Bill Joy, Andreas Bechtolsheim, and Roy Sardina. Previously, he worked in Strategy Consulting for Bain, IBM, and McKinsey. While completing his MBA at Stanford, he worked at Deutsche Bank’s Technology investment banking group. He grew up in Connecticut and Alabama, went to college at Harvard, and worked in Amsterdam and Berlin before moving to New York City in 2002.

Sanford Dickert – @Sanford
Sanford counts himself as a “NY Tech Evangelist” cross the bounds of technology, business, marketing and politics.  Using his technical expertise and marketing experiences, Sanford works heavily with Democratic political initiatives which include the John kerry for President Campaign, three NY political campaigns and numerous Florida political campaign – in roles ranging from campaign manager to Director of Internet Strategy.  Sanford is focusing on lobbying for the needs of NY Tech startups in his work with NYC – and recent efforts with the NYC Economic Development Council.

Whitney Hess – @Whitneyhess
Whitney Hess is a user experience design consultant based in New York City. She helps make stuff easy and pleasurable to use. She is a strategic partner with Happy Cog and user experience consultant for Boxee, among other startups and major corporations. Whitney is also on the Board of Directors of UXnet, the Board of Advisors for the Information Architecture Institute, a part-time member of New Work City and host of NWC After Dark.

Adam Isserlis – @AdamIss
Adam Isserlis is the Director of Digital Media at PR firm Rubenstein Communications, working primarily with media companies and startups. Prior to Rubenstein, Adam worked at TheLadders.com and helped build the company’s PR practice. Adam graduated from the George Washington University with a major in Political Communication, and he loves lobster.

Steve Masur
SteveSteve is the founding member and general manager of MasurLaw. There, Steve has helped pioneer a wide array of new business models and licensing schemes as counsel to and on the board of hundreds of companies and corporate divisions. Steve is also the Chair of the New York State Bar Association Business Section (NYSBA), Information and Technology Law Committee as well as on the Board of Directors of Industrial + Technology Assistance Corporation (ITAC).

Jason Schwartz – @Jschwa
Jason Schwartz is a Product Manager at Angelsoft.net, a software company that builds deal flow management software for Angel Investors and VCs. In the past he has worked in the entertainment industry on the opportunity of the intersection of technology and music.  Most recently he launched an online community in the Hamptons. Nichelle Stephens - @Niche
Nichelle Stephens is a bookkeeper, blogger and social media strategist. She is the founder of KeepingNickels where she blogs about bookkeeping, personal finance issues and online financial applications for small businesses. She is also co-editor of Cupcake Takes The Cake, the most popular blog about about cupcakes. Nichelle has held Senior Consultant and Senior Accountant positions at Protiviti, KPMG and Deloitte & Touche. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.

Nate Westheimer – @innonate
Nate Westheimer is the Organizer of the NY Tech Meetup, and started his term in January of 2009. Nate currently serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence at Rose Tech Ventures, and formerly he founded BricaBox.com. Nate also serves on the Advisory Board for the Web 2.0 Expo in New York, is a co-organizer of BarCampNYC, and frequently speaks about the NY technology community at conferences such as South by Southwest Interactive and Web 2.0 Expo.

Yuli Ziv – @Yuliz
Yuli Ziv is the Co-founder & President of MyItThings.com, an online user-generated fashion magazine, and the ultimate community for fashion aficionados, trendsetters and aspiring designers. She is also one of the founding members of Style Coalition, which mission is to both advance professional standards in content creation and increase the effectiveness of social media within the fashion vertical. Besides running her own ventures, Yuli is organizing Fashion 2.0 meetup in NYC, counting several hundreds fashion industry professionals, web entrepreneurs, bloggers and innovators.

Founded in 2004 by Scott Heiferman, the NY Tech Meetup has over 8,000 members, representing people from all parts of the New York technology community. Each month, six companies and developers demo technology they've been working on in front of a 400+ sold out crowd.
The NY Tech Meetup is a community-led organization, and is not for profit. It is currently organized by Nate Westheimer.
